// Register65 FAQ

What is Register65?

Register65 is a free, human-maintained web directory. It holds 829 entries across 22 subject registers, each one submitted by a site operator, reviewed by a human editor, and placed on the record. There is no automated crawling and no paid placement.

Is it free to file my site?

Yes. Submitting a site through /add.php costs nothing. There is no fee at any stage — not for submission, not for faster review, not for placement in a particular column.

How are sites organised on Register65?

Sites are grouped into 22 subject registers — columns covering areas such as automotive, clinical, legal, software, travel, and more. Within each column, entries run in chronological order: the most recently filed site appears at the top.

How do I submit a site?

Go to /add.php, enter the full URL of your site, choose the register that best fits the subject, and add a one-line description if you have one. If you leave the description blank, Register65 will fetch your site's own meta description. That is the whole process.

How quickly will my submission go on the record?

Most submissions clear the review queue the same day they are filed. An editor checks that the URL resolves, that the site fits the chosen register, and that the description is readable. There is no automated fast-track — every entry is reviewed before it goes on the record.

What happens if I submit a site that is already listed?

Register65 keeps one entry per domain. If your domain is already on the record, the submission is rejected at the database level. You can check whether a site is already listed by searching within the relevant register column.

Why do you call sections registers?

A register is an official, maintained record — which is what each column on Register65 is. The term fits the editorial approach: entries are filed, dated, and kept on the record rather than ranked or scored.

Can I update or correct my listing after it is filed?

At this time there is no self-service edit tool. If your listing contains an error — wrong URL, outdated description — contact us through the about page and an editor will update the entry.

Does Register65 cover every type of website?

Register65 covers a broad range of web properties across 22 registers. Sites that do not fit a specialist column are filed in the Open Listings Report. Adult and gambling sites are accepted in their respective registers, provided they operate legally.

// About the REGISTER65

Register65 is a free web directory maintained by human editors. The current file holds 829 entries across 22 subject registers, from the Gambling & Casino Record to the Software & Tech Register. Every listing was submitted by its operator, reviewed by a human, and placed on the record — there is no algorithmic crawling and no automated approval. Entries are ordered chronologically within each column: newest on top, the way a properly kept dispatch should run. Submitting a site costs nothing and takes about a minute using the form at /add.php. Register65 is one index in a network of independent web directories, each maintained separately and without shared editorial staff.
